How long is the administrative process for applications?
To apply, you need to send in your:

You should send these documents to: contact address.The original documents will then be returned to you within 10 working days. The confirmation of your place can be sent to you by fax within one day.
Do I need to get registered with the appropriate examining body before I arrive at Hamilton College?
We advise you to register, but it is not compulsory. You may also register on arrival at the college.
What happens if I want to change my course?
You can change your course. But, if the tuition fee for your new preferred course is higher, you must pay the supplement.
If you decide to change to a course which has a lower tuition fee, your original fee remains non refundable (unless approved by the Director of Studies in certain circumstances.)

Does the college offer Internet access?
Yes, Internet Access is free of charge at all times during college hours.
Will I receive career guidance?
Our approachable Course Directors are always happy to advise students. Many of our key personnel are also available to guide and advise students on their best course of study.
Students are strongly encouraged to take an active part in their chosen industry’s respective professional bodies. For example, by reading their newsletters, or checking for job opportunities on relevant websites.
Do you provide pastoral care?
We can offer students counselling support if it’s required. We aim to provide a welcoming environment where students get a positive life and learning experience.
Is there an area where I can meet other students?
You are very likely to meet students in your classes, but we also have a lively social programme, and a common room with modern facilities where you can make new friends.

FAQs: Fees
How can I pay your fee?
You can pay the fee by Bankers’ Cheque or Draft. It should be made payable to ‘AA Hamilton College London’. You can send it direct by bank transfer or by post.
The annual tuition fee is payable in full before the course
commencement.
If there is a problem with my visa, can I get my tuition fee refunded?
You need to provide the original visa refusal documents issued by the British Embassy in your country. We will then make enquiries with the British Embassy about your refusal.
If they approve your submitted documents, we will refund the deposit as soon as possible. (Please note, if you visa refusal is due to submission of forged documents, we will not refund your fee).
Can I give the fee deposit draft to the School Representative?
Normally students are required to pay a deposit prior to enrolment. Your offer letter will mention the details regarding your deposit payment.
Before making a payment to any consultant or school representative, you must always contact us to make sure that the consultant is registered with us.
Fee deposits should be paid by Bankers’ draft made out to ‘Hamilton College London’.
The college will not be responsible for the fee paid in cash to
anyone else other than the college office.

Is Hamilton College accredited?
Yes, we are fully accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Association of British Executives (ABE), the British Accreditation Council (BAC), the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM),
Institute of Administrative Management (IAM), Goal and the British Computer Society (BCS).
Are you registered with the UK’s Department of Education?
Hamilton College is registered with the Department of Education and Skills on its Register of Education and Training Providers

FAQs: UK Life
What are the average living costs for London?
We estimate around £7200 per year. This is calculated as follows: £3,300 for accommodation, £1,000 for travel in London, £200 for books, £200 for exam fees and membership of professional bodies, and £2,500 for food and clothing.
Is it possible to work part-time during my studies?
Part-time work is possible as long as it does not interfere with your college studies. International students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during term time. Students can work full-time during the college holidays.
The school is not responsible for finding any type of student employment. Many international students work part-time in the retail, tourism and hospitality industries. However, as work cannot be guaranteed, it should be viewed as a supplementary source of funds and not relied upon to cover tuition or living costs.
Can I get help with learning English?
English classes are free at Hamilton College for anybody who enrols on a course of 1 year or more.
Can I work in the UK after I complete my course?
A new 1-year International Graduate Scheme (IGS) has been introduced for international students.
Under this scheme, students who successfully complete and obtain a UK recognized degree level qualification in any subject can work in the UK for up to 1 year after they complete their course.

Students who have completed their courses may now also take up employment in the UK under the Training and Work Experience Scheme (TWES) that allows individuals to undertake work based training after a professional or specialist qualification.

Will Hamilton College be able to find me accommodation?
Yes, Hamilton College have their own hostel facilities, if the college hostels are unavailable, then alternative accommodation can be arranged, in single and shared rooms.
The rent for accommodation varies from £40 to £100 per week. You must inform the College at least 3 weeks in advance of your intended date of travel. You will also need to forward £400 as a reservation deposit for the accommodation.
FAQs: Visas
Are student visas difficult to get?
Not usually. If you have sufficient funds to cover the cost of your studies and living expenses, and can demonstrate your bona fide student credentials, you shouldn’t have difficulty obtaining a student visa.
What happens if my visa gets refused?
Students must inform the college immediately, as we may be able to help you appeal against the decision. If the entry clearance has been refused, the college will refund the tuition fee deposit in full (subject to proof of refusal documentation from your British embassy).
However, if a visa is refused because you have provided forged documents to a British High Commission or Embassy, no refund will be made. No refund will be also made if leave to remain is refused by the Home Office.
What is full-time study?
According to the British Government Home Office, 15 hours per week of study means you can qualify as a full-time student.
At Hamilton College you must be studying for 15 hours a week to be considered a full-time student.
